Villa dei Volsci is a prestigious villa for weddings in Italy, just to the east of Velletri, in Papazzano. This name is very old and emerges from the change, taken place in the Middle Ages, of the old place name Papattianu, born from the merging of two Volsche peoples: the Papii and the Attii.
The last renovation dates back to 1801, perhaps done by the Soderini family, whose coat of arms and motto, Nec Timeo – Nec Sperno (I don't fear and I don't despise), is sculpted on the fireplace.
The restaurant has recently been refurbished by Benito Morelli who has valorized the structure and has put it at the disposal of those who wish to find a location to enjoy the charm, on their wedding day, together with exquisite dishes and wines that continue the ancient tradition of the Volsci.
The first building has been destroyed by Romans probably about in 338 BC. Later, it became a Country Villa and at the end of the Republican Age has been changed into an aristocratic Villa. In the last three centuries it has belonged to different noble families of Velletri. Since the Renaissance it has been for long periods the property of rich Roman families.
Today, Villa dei Volsci is aromantic restaurant in the province of Rome, the capital of Italy, and is a splendid location where you can organize your wedding and taste the delicious dishes that our Chef will create just for you.
